ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Yakage Town Hall is a cornerstone of the 14,000 person town in Okayama Prefecture. Yakage is known for its inns, as feudal lords in the Edo period often stopped there on their way to the capital. Yakage Town Hall first hosted PiA Fellows in 1993. Fellows serve at the Yakage Town Hall teaching English at local preschools while also providing administrative support to the Town Hall. ABOUT THE POSITION:
Fellows work with kindergartens and elementary schools administered by the Yakage town council. Duties include teaching in several schools in the greater Yakage area, as well as participating in the town hall education section.
