Welcome Molly Giblin to the PiA team!
Princeton in Asia is thrilled to announce the hiring of Dr. Molly J. Giblin to serve as Director of Programs. In this role, Molly will lead the development, implementation, and improvement of PiA’s three programs: the core fellowship program for recent graduates, the Carriebright fellowship for recent alumni, and summer internships for Princeton undergraduates. Her first official day in the role was December 12th.
Molly has more than fifteen years of experience in international education leadership and comes to PiA after serving as Associate Director of Academic Integration and Global Learning at Northeastern University. She has worked and taught at Dominican University, the University of Memphis, and Florida International University, and has prioritized strong collaborations with university and industry partners to identify, develop, and deliver academically rigorous experiential programs in hundreds of global locations. Molly received her BA and MA from the University at Buffalo and her PhD at Rutgers University.
Molly has drawn on her knowledge of global systems, diverse national educational structures, governmental regulations, program outcomes, and student needs to build and scale programs that enable expanding, increasingly diverse cohorts of students to engage in life-changing experiential learning. She is particularly interested in how we might build stronger, more equitable present-day relationships by being attentive to the historical legacies of imperialism and inequality. Said Molly: “I believe wholeheartedly that PiA Fellows are instrumental agents of cross-cultural bridging. I am eager to work with the PiA team to shape a forward-looking program cultivating new generations of global leaders.”
