The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage
Founded in 1904, the Siam Society Under Royal Patronage is a Thai cultural organization with an international scope. It promotes the study and knowledge-sharing about the cultures, history, arts, and heritage conservation of Thailand and its neighboring countries in South-East Asia. As the most active international society in South-East Asia for knowledge-sharing of cultural heritage and advocacy of cultural heritage, there is at least one event occurring at The Siam Society each week. The Siam Society’s facilities include a library recognized in 2014 as the “Outstanding Specialist Library” by the Thai Library Association, the Kamthieng House Museum, and the Saeng Aroon House. The Siam Society hosts regular lectures, study trips, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural performances. The first PiA Fellow was hosted at the Siam Society in 2021 and helped to coordinate an international conference. To learn more about the Siam Society, visit their website here.
